I wanted to release some screenshots of Vista Dec. CTP 5270 for people to get a first hand look at the great new OS from Microsoft. (Best viewed at 1024 x 764) Click Read More! For ScreenShots + How to disable the permit and deny application in Vista 5270!
I also would like to post a heavly asked question, disable user account policy's:
Disable the permit / deny security application that loads every time you open an application.
1. Click Windows Start
2. Click Control Panel
3. Switch to classic view
4. Click Administration Tools
5. Click Local Security Policy
6. Tree down from [Local Policies > Security Options
7. Scroll down to where you see the user account protection Policy's
8. DISABLE them all by right clicking and selecting disable or no prompt
9. Be free from this annoying application

Looks good, though the start button is far less attractive in my opinion. It's strange to go for a shape that leads to part of it being cut off. Plus, will not having any text on the button not make it harder to instruct users via technical support etc?

Ok...I have to ask...how buggy is this build...I had to format away the last partition I installed Vista on...so...how stable is it now...how close to Beta 2...the last OS that seemed to be as buggy this early was WinME, and i know this is much bigger/complex OS...any feedback...I mean with XP and 2003, there were stable builds fairly early...welcome the feedback.

I have seen several bugs while doing development on it.
it is pretty stable for non-power users. If you plan on using this build as you main computer, I would stay away. If you just wnat to mess around with it, it is stable enough for that.

I would have to agree with the user above me. You can NOT use this for a stable OS, You only have 14 days anyways. Use this for fun, and expermental purpuses only. Wait for Beta 2, if there is one!
