343 Industries have taken to the Halo Waypoint website to announce changes to weapon REQ pricing in the Warzone multiplayer mode of Halo 5: Guardians that will make it easier for players to purchase some of their favorite weapons.

Specifically, several weapons have received a slight price drop, reportedly after 343 Industries’ study of player feedback and match data. With this change, these weapons should come within reach of more players, leveling the playing field. The list of affected items are as follows.

Carbine

  • Carbine: 4 -> 2
  • Rain of Oblivion: 4 -> 3
  • Blood of Suban: 5 -> 4

Suppressor

  • Suppressor: 2 -> 1

Bolt Shot

  • Boltshot: 2 -> 1

Light Rifle

  • Light Rifle: 5 -> 4
  • Barbed Lance: 5 -> 4
  • Dying Star: 6 -> 5

SAW

  • Saw: 5 -> 4
  • Appetite for Destruction: 6 -> 5

The change was brought about via a server side update, meaning Warzone players should see the new prices as soon as they start playing. After a buggy multiplayer experience in The Master Chief Collection Halo 5: Guardians has gained back the love of competitive fans, with the Warzone mode being the star of the show according to many. These optimizations by 343 Industries show the studio’s commitment to its masterpiece, and will help players enjoy the game even more in the future.
