AccuWeather and ESPN apps for Windows 8 receive updates

Two popular apps have received updates in the Windows Store just recently. Both the Accuweather app and ESPN apps for Windows 8 received bug fixes, while the ESPN app received some new features that are sure to please sports fans.

The Accuweather app for Windows 8 was given a minor update, simply addressing bug fixes. You can snag the updated app via the download link below or update the app via the Windows Store. Let us know in the comments below if you notice anything new.

Not to be outdone, the ESPN app also received an update, adding several new features to the app. The new ESPN app features a redesigned main hub and redesigned news feed. The app now features a prompt to update the app or even rate the app on the Windows Store. The app also features an adaptive layout for 1366×768, 1920×1080, and 2560×1440 resolutions as well as a new modal video player.

Performance improvements were added to the ScoreCenter and you can now pin podcast channels. Hit the download link below to snag the updated app.
