Additional ways to handle calls coming to Windows 10 Mobile Redstone

Michael Cottuli

There’s a new feature in the latest internal build of Redstone for Windows 10 Mobile, and it’s a pretty nice one (via mswin.me). The new feature lets Windows 10 Mobile users change where they want their audio to play when they get a phone call – also, it lets them choose to have speaker phone automatically turn on when the phone is moved away from their ear.

This feature isn’t much more than a novelty, but it’s a novelty that people might actually get some use out of. It can be a little bit frustrating to interrupt your conversation with someone as you go to turn on speaker phone, so this new addition to the Windows 10 Mobile suite of features does a bit to alleviate some minor frustrations.

Beyond that, the option to have your phone calls automatically go to either a Bluetooth device or your phone speaker is another nice option for people who just want a little bit more convenience when they’re taking phone calls. We’re glad to see new functionality being added to Windows 10 for both PCs and smartphones, and we’ll be sure to let you know as we learn about more.
