Alarm, Voice Recorder, and Calculator apps slightly updated in recent Windows 8.1 build

In the leaked Windows 8.1 (Windows Blue) build 9364, we caught our first glimpse of a new Calculator app, as well as an Audio Recorder app, a Movie Moments app, and an Alarm app. At the time, we had no idea if Microsoft would allow these apps to make it to the final build of Windows 8.1. As development progresses and the public preview build of Windows Blue approaches, these apps have received a slight change in color.

As you can see from the image above (the old color scheme) compared to the image below (the new color scheme), we can see that Microsoft has updated the apps to feature its own color scheme, rather than using the standard dark color. This is apparent in a recent unknown build of Windows 8.1. The Calculator app and Alarms app both feature a green color, while the Voice Recorder app features an orange color. Both Movie Moments and the Calculator apps also feature a change in icons.

Microsoft recently revealed that Windows 8.1 public preview will take place at the start of the Build 2013 developer conference. In fact, we will get our hands on the public preview on June 26th. Stay tuned.
