Angry Birds Star Wars coming to Microsoft's Xbox One

In for a PS4 or Xbox One? The popular game Angry Birds Star Wars is coming to next generation consoles and is sure to make fans of the hit franchise a little bit happier. Rovio revealed today that Angry Birds Star Wars will not only be on the Xbox One, but also feature new levels and Kinect support.

“As a company we want to be where-ever the fans are.. so we are thrilled to be partnering with Activision to bring this one-of-a-kind experience to console and handheld gaming fans,” Rovio’s Jami Laes stated.

While we have to wait until the next generation consoles are launched, Rovio is already rolling out this game to those on the Xbox 360, PS3, Vita, Wii, Wii U, and 3DS. The game features HD graphics, twenty exclusive levels, co-op and competitive multiplayer modes, as well as achievements and trophies, leaderboards, and voice command through Kinect for Xbox 360. There are also touchscreen controls on Wii U, 3DS and Vita.

The Xbox One version of the game will feature Kinect 2.0 support, allowing for gesture and motion controls. There will also be voice command support and exclusive unique times challenges that “deliver fresh trials for players well after the game’s launch.” The PS4 version of the game will feature support for the DualShock 4 controller’s touchpad so you can have precise touch screen handling.
