The Groove team has taken to the Windows blog to announce their surprise holiday gift to old-school music lovers, from one of the most influential bands in history. Yes folks, it’s The Beatles, streaming on Groove Music starting this Christmas.

In a monumental collaboration with Apple Corps and Universal Music Group, Microsoft Groove is now part of the first time ever streaming availability of The Beatles’ music, coming to 7 streaming services.  The Beatles’ music has been available for download only on Apple’s iTunes since 2010, and is available for streaming in radio format from Pandora already. 13 remastered studio albums, plus 4 special edition albums from the generation-defining music group can be streamed with a Groove Music Pass starting from 12:01 AM, December 24, and can even be bought individually at a 30% discount till 1/16/2016.
The full list of the albums are as follows:

  • Please Please Me
  • With The Beatles
  • A Hard Day’s Night
  • Beatles For Sale
  • Help!
  • Rubber Soul
  • Revolver
  • Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band
  • Magical Mystery Tour
  • The Beatles
  • Yellow Submarine
  • Abbey Road
  • Let It Be
  • The Beatles 1962 – 1966
  • The Beatles 1967 – 1970
  • Past Masters (Volumes 1 & 2)

While The Beatles’ music will also available from other streaming music services including Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, Amazon Prime, and more, arguably, for Windows 10 users, or mixed users with at least one Windows 10 device, Groove Music streaming represents the best value, as the service is integrated into Windows 10 and is available on most major platforms, even Xbox (not to mention that sweet buying deal). The streaming launch will vary according to region, which you can track at The Beatles’ homepage.
