Bill Gates dumps a bucket of ice water on his head, challenges Elon Musk, Ryan Seacrest, and Chris Anderson

Bill Gates is the latest tech figurehead to accept the ALS ice bucket challenge. Accepting the nomination from Mark Zuckerberg, Bill built a structure to dump a bucket of ice water on his head. He then nominated Elon Musk, Ryan Seacrest, and Chris Anderson from TED for the challenge.

Bill steps the ice dumping up a notch by building a rig to hold the water bucket while he pulls a rope to dump the water. Staying true to his Microsoft roots, the video opens with Bill watching the video of Mark Zuckerberg on a Surface Pro 3. A nice touch to the video.

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is a social media movement where people post videos of themselves dumping a bucket of ice water over their heads. Once they complete this, they are able to challenge others to either do the same or make a donation to an organization dedicated to fighting ALS. This is exactly what Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella did just recently.

Here is the video so you can watch for yourself:
