Bing, Microsoft’s answer to Google in the search market, has been busy lately. The company just recently added new features that allow customers to track the current winter Olympics taking place in Sochi, Russia. But other options are being tested, the company is always looking for ways it can improve the offering.
Now we learn that a new Save option has quietly been rolled out to a select group of users. Save is similar to bookmarks, but it works with hashtags. The feature runs as an extension, or add-on, for Bing and allows the user to tag visited sites for future reference.
Customers will also be able to utilize this feature directly from Bing search results. A tiny icon, which resemble the traditional floppy disk save icon in many programs, will appear next to sites within the results of any search.
There is nothing official from Microsoft yet, though WinBeta has reached out for comment from the company, and will update this if we receive a response. Bing tests a lot of features and updates, and not all see final release, so we’ll have to cross our fingers for this one.
