Bing now lets you explore free online courses and helps you find books to read

Even though the school year ends in time for summer, Bing is looking to keep your brain engaged with two new features. Bing now lets you explore free online courses and helps you find books to read.

“Now when you search Bing for subjects such as trigonometry or history we will showcase a list of popular, free online courses available on the Khan Academy site.   We’re also rolling out a new book finding feature that showcases whether a given title is available online for free or for reservation at your local library.”

Bing has indexed Khan Academy courses, allowing you to search for a subject to see its corresponding set of online courses in the snapshot pane. You can immerse yourself in the subject in just a few clicks. On top of that, when searching for a book title on Bing, you will get to read an excerpt from that book, see if that book is available at a local library, or if it is available for download.

Microsoft wants you to “search less and do more” and these two new features are perfect example of just that. Head over to Bing to try it out.
