In an attempt to boost its popularity, Microsoft has invested a great deal of time and effort into Bing’s analytical and predictive capabilities. As such, much has been made of this, especially when predicting events in the USA.

Those of us in Europe have, sadly, to this point been mostly neglected, that is until just now. With the event that all true Europeans will watch now about to reach its climax, Bing (and by extension Cortana) has offered a conclusive prediction of who will win Eurovision 2015.

According to Cortana/Bing, and as shown by Microsoft, Sweden (perennial winners of the camp song-fest) have the strongest shot of winning Eurovision 2015, with an estimated 17.1% chance of bring home the trophy.

Of course, only time will tell if this will be the case, but this latest step in the partnership between Microsoft and Eurovision will go some way to help boost Redmond’s presence in a region where it already has a strong footprint, but one that is generally growing smaller.
