According to a new report, Microsoft search engine is currently testing a new way to display tweets in its search results. SEO enthusiast Rubén Gómez discovered the updated search results (via Search Engine Roundtable) and shared a screenshot of showing the new Twitter carousel box that you can see below:

Gómez also explained how you can enable the experiment on your browser:

Go to Bing and load your browser’s developer console:

  • Google Chrome: Tools, Developer Tools
  • Mozilla Firefox: Web Developer, Web Console
  • Internet Explorer: Developer Tools (F12), Console

Copy and paste the following code: 09A74265B87C629633194B6AB944635B

Press Enter and you’ll see the experiment.

If doesn’t work, try this other method:

  • Open Chrome and install this extension.
  • Go to Bing and select “Edit Cookies” option on the context menu:
  • Find the cookies named MUIDB and MUID, and remplace the value with this cookie value: 09A74265B87C629633194B6AB944635B

It’s not the first time that Microsoft has partnered with Twitter to include tweets in Bing search results: both companies first entered into a partnership in 2009 which was renewed in 2013. Then in 2014, the Bing team released an update on the partnership by rolling out new features that allow users to quickly find trending hashtags, specific twitter profiles and latest tweets about your favorite personality in near real-time.

However, both companies have yet to officially share more details about this new experiment. Did you know that it was already possible to explore tweets on Bing? Please tell in the comments if you think the partnership between Microsoft and Twitter can help Bing to be a better search engine.
