HP has had quite a comeback last year with their laptop business, producing several premium models that can stand toe-to-toe with the best in class. At CES 2016, the company has unveiled the newest generation of their high-end, business-focused Elite laptop series, the Elitebook Folio, EliteBook 1040 G3, and the new Elitebook 800 G3.

The EliteBook Folio is the weakest but sleekest of the bunch, containing a Skylake Core M. All the other specifications are quite commendable though. A MIL-STD-tested body, 12.5-inch, 95% Adobe RGB screen that can go up to Ultra HD and 2 USB Type-C ports should satisfy anyone’s worry of future-proofing. The special “piano hinge” for the screen that can go 180 degree flat, should also appeal to business customers. Advertised runtime is 10 hours, and HP says the built-in battery will last for at least three years. There is also an optional fingerprint reader

The next notebooks in line are also impressive in their own ways: the “world’s thinnest notebook” EliteBook 1040 G3, and the new EliteBook 800 G3. These features almost identical specification choices: 6th Gen Intel Core processor with vPro, PCIeGen3 SSD, DDR4 RAM. The EliteBook 800 G3 will have three screen sizes and four levels of screen sharpness up to UHD for choosing, while the 1040 G3 will only have a FHD or QHD screen on sale.

Apart from the new rugged laptops, HP also introduces a few new accessories. The first notable one is the HP USB-C Travel Dock, an ultra-slim docking solutions similar to Microsoft’s Surface Dock but without the proprietary connection. The new Notebook Power Bank can charge an HP notebook and two other mobile devices at the same time.
