Check out this new image of Microsoft’s cancelled Nokia “Moonraker” smartwatch

Microsoft killed off a few Nokia projects after the Redmond company acquired the Finnish phone maker, including at least one promising Windows phone. One such project was a smartwatch, dubbed Moonraker, that would have been more of a traditional competitor to Google’s Wear initiative and the Apple Watch.

Renowned leaker @evleaks posted some images about six months ago showing the colorful wearable in all of its proposed glory:

It’s only for historical interest that we post this latest image. Of course, Microsoft went off in another direction entirely by focusing on health and fitness (and streamlined smartwatch functionality) with its Microsoft Band line of products. And so this is just a glimpse at what might have been.
