Chinese manufacturer Sunty has a series of tablets running Windows 10 Mobile

Chinese manufacturers have been a huge name in the manufacture of tech for some time, making tons of devices for people both within its own borders and overseas. Strangely enough, however, Windows 10 Mobile hasn’t been hosted on any of the smartphones that Chinese manufacturers have put out so far. The folks over at notebookitalia have done some diligence to find out one of the new models of phone that have broken out into the scene in China – some of the first phones in China which are supporting Windows 10 mobile.
The phone in question is the Sunty G500, a device coming out of the Chinese retailer Sunty World. The specs are just a bit better than the Lumia 550, and make up a relatively solid phone, all things considered. The hardware specs are as follows:

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8909 210
  • 1GB memory
  • eMMC 16GB of storage
  • 2300mAh battery

Sunty World is also offering the Sunty Q82 – an 8-inch tablet – and the Sunty Q72 – a 7-inch tablet. The two tablets seem to share the same specifications, differing mostly just in their size. Their specifications are right here:

  • 1-2 GB of DDR3 memory(Based on customer’s preference)
  • 16-32 GB of storage (Based on customer’s preference)
  • 1280 x 800px resolution

It’s important to note that the rumor mill suggests that the 2GB versions of the tablet may be able to connect to Continuum wirelessly, which would be a huge boost to the productivity of people who tend to make use of Continuum regularly.

So far, we don’t have any word on how much these devices are going to cost people, exactly – it seems like the prices are just going to be up to the retailers that are putting them up on shelves. At the very least, it’s worth noting that Windows 10 Mobile is starting to be embraced more by Chinese manufacturers. It signals a widespread acceptance of the operating system, and generally, a brighter future for the OS.
