Choose where to install large games and apps with latest Windows 10 Insider builds

From Twitter, Facebook, and even the latest games like Quantum Break, the Windows Store is packed full of plenty of content for Windows 10 users. A new report out by Neowin, however, is now showing that users of the latest Windows 10 Insider builds have an extra layer of control in the Store, and can now choose where to install large games and apps.

The change was also first noticed by a Reddit user, who provided a screenshot of the Store asking for an install drive before a large download of Killer Instinct. As seen in the user’s screenshot below, the Windows Store will prompt the user with a pop-up which lists a list of available drives if the app or game exceedes a certain amount of space. Neowin, though, tested the feature on both builds 14361 and 14366 and notes that smaller apps will still use the default location which you can set in PC Settings.

This is a very interesting find, and could perhaps a bigger indication that Microsoft is listening to the needs of Windows 10 Insiders. As always, be sure to let us know what you think by dropping us a comment below!
