Chuwi Hi12 Tablet

There’s no shortage of Windows 10 tablets in the market, but a new device from the Chinese vendor Chuwi has gained some traction lately because of its decent specifications and a budget-friendly price tag (via Windows Central). Chuwi is not a popular name when it comes to devices, but the Chuwi Hi12 Windows 10 tablets appears to offer impressive hardware, considering it costs only $299.

The tablet is set to hit retail on January 28th and comes with a 12-inch display sporting a resolution of 2160 by 1440 pixels. There’s a magnetic docking keyboard as well, which makes it a Surface competitor as well and costs way less than Microsoft’s tablet.

The Chuwi Hi12 tablet is powered by a 1.44GHz quad-core Cherry Trail Z8300 CPU with Intel’s Gen8 iGPU paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Other features include 5MP main camera, 2MP front-facing camera, a massive 11,000 mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI out, one USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and ships with Windows 10 out of the box.

The company also mentioned that it will introduce dual-boot capabilities for the tablet in the future, allowing users to switch between Windows 10 and Android 5.1 Lollipop.
