Prepaid wireless provider Cricket Wireless offers some aggressive pricing on voice, data, and text service throughout the U.S. as a subsidiary of communications giant AT&T. Cricket Wireless let us know this afternoon about a special deal they’re running on Microsoft’s Lumia 640.

For a limited time, Cricket is offering the Lumia 640 for only $59.99 (down from their usual proce of $129.99) when purchasers buy up to five phonelines with their service (which will also save new users $100 a month).

In case you’ve forgotten, here are the Lumia 640’s specs:

  • 5-inch 1280 by 720 display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor
  • 8 GB storage
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 0.9 MP front and 8 MP back cameras
  • Battery life of 21 hours of talk time

The Lumia 640 remains a good low-end smartphone that should be getting the Windows 10 Mobile update as soon as Microsoft starts the rollout. If you’re looking for a prepaid carrier and a good Lumia device, then this might be a deal to seriously consider. Other service carriers have also been discounting the Lumia 640 such as AT&T which recently brought it all the way down to $20.
