With Microsoft not releasing a successor to its Surface Pro 4 hybrid tablet during its Windows 10 event last month, Finnish company Eve Technology is taking the opportunity to release its Surface-like Eve V tablet that will launch through an Indiegogo campaign later this month.

And while the company shared an incomplete specs list earlier this month, a new blog post has revealed today the final details about the hybrid’s battery, keyboard, speakers and cameras (via Windows Central).

Eve Technology actually published a full specs comparison with Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4 that you can see below. Compared to the now one-year-old device Surface Pro 4, the Eve V will feature an Intel 7th Get Kaby Lake processor, up to 16GB of Ram, up to 512GV of storage and a 48Wh battery providing up to 12 hours of battery life. Additionally, the 2-in-1 device will feature more connectivity options with 2 full-size USB ports and two USB-C ports, a fingerprint sensor for Windows Hello as well as four speakers and 2 noise canceling microphones.

In the lengthy blog post, the company also highlighted other interesting features such has a dedicated amplifier for the Eve V’s headphone jack. “This will drive the connected audio device with up to 5x greater performance vs. e.g. Surface Pro 4’s headphone jack,” explained the team.

Moreover, the company is really proud of the V Wireless Keyboard which will be included with the hybrid tablet. While the detachable keyboard looks pretty similar to the Surface Pro 4 Type keyboard, it can automatically connect wirelessly to the Eve V just a few seconds after being detached. When it’s connected through the pogo pins, the the wireless connection (Bluetooth 4.2) automatically disconnects and the tablet starts recharging the keyboard’s integrated battery.

It’s still not clear how much will cost the Eve V, though the company previously said that that only 500 devices would be available for purchase during the November Indiegogo campaign. Let us know in the comments if you think this hybrid device could be a good successor to Microsoft’s aging Surface Pro 4.
