Last month, EA introduced a subscription-based program for Xbox One owners, giving them access to all EA games in "The Vault" for just $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year. It's not just the the access to the Vault, users are also entitled a 10 percent discount on digital content purchases from the developer. It doesn't end there, users also get to try the upcoming games before their official announcement as well.
It's an attractive deal, no wonder why Microsoft called it a "game changer" -- the Vault do feature some popular titles from EA. The program was launched as beta a few weeks back, but if you have waiting for it to go live for all Xbox One owners, today is your lucky day. The developer announced the program is exclusively available to all Xbox One owners.
"For only $4.99 a month (or $29.99 for a full year), members have the ability to download and play some of our fan favorite Xbox One games in The Vault. Available today we have a superb collection of games ready to download: experience the action of Battlefield 4, get in the game with FIFA 14 and Madden NFL 25, and see why Peggle™ 2 is one of the most beloved puzzle games. The Vault will evolve with games joining the collection over time so you’ll always have something fun to play," EA says in a blog post.
Personally, I think it's a very decent deal, offering gamers a chance to try out the games ahead of their official launch, as well as a discount on some of the hottest titles on the console. What do you think about this subscription program? Worth buying?
