Elite Dangerous: Arena Edition on Xbox One

Two new video games are out today on the Xbox One, Elite Dangerous: Arena Edition and Battle Worlds: Kronos.

Elite Dangerous: Arena Edition is a Science Fiction flying action game with online multiplayer elements and player versus player battles. Players do need to sign up for a free Elite Dangerous account with Frontier and have Xbox Live Gold to play but neither should be too inconvenient for most Xbox One owners. Here’s the official description:

Fly agile fighters and go head-to-head against the galaxy’s greatest pilots in PVP dogfights – easy to pick up controls reward your developing skills with more to master for that ultimate combat edge. Choose your ship, customize your load out and prepare for instant Arena-based action to earn the right to become Elite. Elite Dangerous: Arena brings Elite Dangerous’ Close Quarter Combat (CQC) PVP game to players as a standalone release, featuring full cross-compatibility with the large and growing Elite Dangerous player community.

The Xbox One video games library continues to grow on an almost daily basis. Earlier today, Ubisoft released a three-pack of their most-recent Assassin’s Creed titles, and the Gears of War 4 open beta is getting console owners hyped for that title’s future release.
