Evleaks teases new Lumia Windows 10 Mobile codenames: Guilin, Honjo, Saana and Saimaa

Evan Blass, once known exclusively by his Twitter name @evleaks, was a former phone leaker dishing out information and images about unreleased mobile devices. Blass was also responsible for unveiling many new Windows Phone devices before they were officially announced. Now, Blass is at it again, but this time he simply offers a tease.

In a tweet, Blass reiterates the two codenames we have heard before — Cityman and Talkman. However, Blass adds fuel to the fire by mentioning four new codenames we have never heard of — Guilin, Honjo, Saana, or Saimaa. Are these new Windows 10 Mobile devices? Will they ever see the light of day?

For those that did not know, Cityman is rumored to be a massive 5.7-inch display boasting a QHD resolution of 2,560 by 1,440 pixels, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The alleged device is also expected to feature a microSD card slot for extra storage, 20MP rear camera for photos and videos, 5MP front-facing camera, and a massive 3,300 mAh battery. This could very well be a Lumia 1520 successor, but there’s no word about the official name of the device.

On the other hand, Talkman is rumored to feature a 5.2-inch QHD display, 3GB of RAM, a 6-core Snapdragon processor, 32GB of storage, 20 megapixel rear camera, 5 megapixel front facing camera, and a 3000 mAh removable battery.

Guilin is a city in southern China, while Honjo is a city in Japan. Saana is a mountain in Finland, while Saimaa is the largest lake in southeastern Finland. Could Saana and Saimaa be a part of the same family? Similar to th relationship between the 640 and 640XL. Blass also mentions that Nokia only released one tablet (codename Sirius — Lumia 2520), but Illusionist, Mercury, Pine, and Vega/Atlas were never brought to fruition. After all, Microsoft did kill off codename Mookraker (the Nokia smartwatch).

There isn’t much information on these codenames, nor do we know if they will ever see the light of day. We’ll just have to wait and see if any new information comes about regarding these new codenames. What type of specs would you like to see on a new Windows 10 Mobile device?
