Flipboard app and Xbox One SmartGlass app for Windows 8.1 receive new updates

If you happen to be using the Flipboard app or Xbox One SmartGlass app on your Windows 8.1 device, there are two new updates waiting for you in the Windows Store.

There is no change log currently available for the Flipboard app. The update likely fixes some bugs and improves performance. “Flipboard is your personal magazine. It is the most popular way to catch up on the news you care about, read stories from around the world and browse the articles, videos and photos friends are sharing. To begin, pick a few topics and tap any of the tiles to begin flipping through your personal magazine,” the app description reads. If you use this app, let us know what new improvements you discover!

On the other hand, the Xbox One SmartGlass app has received an update. “Xbox One SmartGlass is the perfect companion app for your Xbox One, both in your living room and on the go. Connect and control your Xbox One. Stay connected with the games and gamers you like. And add a new dimension to your console entertainment with the mobile device you already own,” the app description reads.

The current change log for the Xbox One SmartGlass app lists improvements to the notifications, an improvement to the activity feed in Friends, the ability to close snapped apps on Xbox One, and more. This change log has been there for quite a while now and hasn’t been updated. If you are a regular user of this app, let us know what improvements you notice!
