Flipkart sends customers the Android-powered Xolo Win Q900S instead of Windows Phone 8.1

Xolo Win Q900S

Not too long ago, Xolo announced its budget-friendly Win Q900S smartphone powered by the Windows Phone 8.1 OS. The handset received a warm welcome from the customers and was sold out in a matter of days. Some of those people who pre-ordered the device received a surprise when their package arrived. Instead of the Windows Phone 8.1 handset, the device which shipped was running Android as its operating system.

Customer comments reveal FlipKart support has been good in this matter, and have asked those people to return the Android version, and they'll ship a shiny new Windows Phone version.

Here's a summary of what the Xolo Win Q900S has to offer:

  • 4.7-inch Touchscreen
  • 8 MP Primary Camera
  • Expandable Storage Capacity of 32 GB
  • 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200
  • Wi-Fi Enabled
  • 2 MP Secondary Camera
  • Windows Phone 8.1 OS
  • Dual SIM support

This can happen to anyone, the good thing is that FlipKart's support is acknowledging the issue and asking customers to return the device.
