A mere 4 years after the release of the first installment to the Forza Horizon series, Microsoft is set to delist the first edition from the Xbox Store, which will mean that it will no longer be able to be bought.

For several weeks now, DLC for the game has been on sale and we recently saw the game made available for free through Games with Gold. It appears that this happened for 1 reason – they’re delisting the game. The delisting will take place on October 20, from which time it will no longer be possible to purchase DLC or the game.

It is important to note that, a delisting is different to a removal. If content is delisted, owners of the content can still access it and use it, whereas with a removal that isn’t possible if it isn’t already downloaded.

The team behind the game are calling it the “reaching End of Life status” while confirming what we already know:

The game and its associated DLC will no longer be available for purchase.

So, if you haven’t already bought all the DLC or even the game itself but want to, then now is the time.
