Fujitsu is largely considered a high-end hardware maker, but that does make it somewhat popular with businesses. Now the company is unveiling its latest line of Lifebook notebooks, which are geared towards that particular market.
"Available in 13.3-, 14- and 15.6-inch models, the next-generation LIFEBOOK E line of semi-rugged notebooks provides ultimate business performance, comprehensive security features and a durable design, all while being easy to deploy across the enterprise", the company announces.
The line includes three models -- the E754, E744 and E734. Each comes with USB 3.0 ports and the buyer's choice of Blu-ray or DVD writer drives. The company also promises easy integration for IT departments, with built-in business grade security. "Designed with comprehensive security features, including a Smart Card reader, fingerprint sensor, TCG OPAL compliant self-encrypted drive (SED) and trusted platform module (TPM), the LIFEBOOK E line ensures maximum protection of enterprise data, as well as data stored within the device itself. User privacy is also incorporated into the design with each notebook having a full HD webcam equipped with a status LED that indicates when it's in use", Fujitsu announces.
