Last week, Gears of War 4 developer The Coalition teased us with a brand new video preview of the upcoming Xbox One exclusive game. The trailer, called “Tomorrow,” connects the legacy of the Fenix family from father to son and brings back the franchise to the dark tone of the original cult classic game:

It seems that Xbox fans really enjoyed it as the trailer has become the #1 watched Xbox video on the official Xbox channel after just nine days and more than 7.2M views. Head of Xbox Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg celebrated the news on Twitter today:

More than 7.2M people watched the Gears of War 4 trailer after just one week.

Gears of War 4 won’t launch until October 11, but this early buzz around the game make us wonder if the latest Gears of War opus could beat Quantum Break as the best-selling new Microsoft Studios IP this generation.
