German retailer apparently has the Surface Pro pricing, 128GB for $975 (rumor)

We have classified this as a rumor because there is not official confirmation from Microsoft or any other source if this is true. But according to the German retailer, Notebook.de, the Surface Pro 128GB will run for €909 and the Surface Pro 64GB will run for €809. This German retailer has also begun pre-orders for the Surface Pro.

Apparently, Notebook.de has the pricing for the upcoming Surface Pro tablets, which will run the full version of Windows 8, rather than Windows RT. The Surface Pro 128GB will run for €909 and the Surface Pro 64GB will run for €809. In the United States, however, these prices will be lower due to a Value Added Tax that’s used in Europe. This would bring the price for the Surface Pro 128GB to $975 and the 64GB to $870. Here are the specs, as reported by the German site:

  • 10.6-inch full HD ClearType display
  • 1920×1080 resolution
  • 4 GB of RAM
  • 128 GB / 64 GB of storage space
  • Intel HD 4000 video card
  • 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless card
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • HD camera
  • Vapor Magnesium case
  • Total weight – 900g

Now remember that we are classifying this as a rumor because we have yet to receive any word on its authenticity. More on this as it develops. The Surface Pro is officially expected in January of 2013.
