Google adds Exchange support to Gmail app on Android

Gmailify

Google has long boasted that it’s attempting to bring the user’s mail all together under one id. After all, it was only two months ago that we saw Google add Outlook to their list. The ‘Gmailify’ method allows users to open their current emails from other servers with Gmail and have access to the features of Google. According to the company’s official twitter handle, now the Android Gmail app is receiving an update that includes support for Exchange accounts.

Previously, many users had to install third-party applications to get it to work for their Android phone. It’s not surprising that Google is finally adding better Exchange support given the continued increase in business emails through the Microsoft servers. In fact, the Exchange Team has been pushing for more transfers to the Exchange Server 2016 in light of the 2007 server becoming unsupported next year. While some users found the update unnecessary, others are excited to finally try it out.
