Earlier today, Microsoft released Windows 10 Redstone preview build 14279 for desktop. This build was released to the Insider fast ring and brings some nifty Cortana and Windows login improvements.

In this new build, Cortana is now available in more reigons and will now remember new things for you. For example, she can save information like the name of a book you want to read. Microsoft has also implemented a single background for both the lock screen and login screen, having previously used two separate backgrounds. There are also new improvements to the Settings app, which is fairly nice.

Redstone is the next big update to Windows 10 and is slated for release later this year (June) with a second wave of updates being released in 2017. Watch the video embedded above and share your thoughts in the comments below.
