HP announces 8 new devices, built for Windows 10

Staff Writer

As promised, Microsoft has started a tour of sorts in which execs and business partners are set to show off new Windows 10 devices. The tour started today with HP in Barcelona and will continue with Dell on the 8th.  Other dates include Asus on the 9th, Acer on the 12th, Toshiba on the 13th and finally with Lenovo closing the show on October 19th. As if revealing the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book, the Lumia 950 and 950XL, and the Microsoft Band 2 was not enough for Windows users, HP has just announced the release of 8 new devices.
Of the newly unveiled devices, here are a few that really stand out.

HP Spectre x2
The HP Spectre x2, starting at $799.99 and launching on November 8, is poised to compete against the likes of the Surface Pro 4. The device has a very similar 2-in-1 design with an adjustable kickstand and detachable keyboard. Starting $100 less than the SP4, with the inclusion of a stylus, a keyboard, Verizon LTE connectivity, and reversible USB Type-C to Type-A this device is not a bad alternative to Microsoft’s own hybrid tablet.

The HP ENVY Note 8 stands out for its size. HP is offering a full Windows 10 experience powered by an Intel Atom CPU. This device also comes with a digital stylus, although the keyboard is optional here. The ENVY Note 8 also comes with a Verizon LTE and pricing starts at $329.00.

HP ENVY Curved All-in-One
As far as All-in-One’s go, HP’s curved display sets it apart from others of the same genre. The PC has a 34-inch, curved display for both productivity and entertainment.

HP Stream Notebook PCs

HP stream Notebooks are for the budget conscious. These devices have very little internal memory but generally come with promotions for Microsoft’s cloud service, OneDrive. The HP Stream will come in two sizes, 11-inches for $199.99 and 13-inches for $229.00
