Leading computer manufacturer HP has brought back Windows 7 “by popular demand”. Although the PC maker hasn’t specified who demanded this four-year old operating system, its homepage can be found filled with Windows 7 powered laptops.
The PC maker reportedly was notifying its users over the past weekend about how you can save $150 by picking a Windows 7-running system. Why would you want to travel back in the past and use an old operating system is something HP hasn't explained yet.
In fact, if you visit HP's website now, it would take you several clicks to locate Windows 8 and 8.1-running computers. Even its tablet section has Android tablets all over it.
While it is understandable, as Windows 7 is indeed sitting at the top of the operating system share, but just a few weeks ago, we saw Windows 8 and 8.1's market share finally touching the double figures. This remodeling from a leading manufacturer will steer away new users from buying Microsoft's latest operating system.
