HTC teases a new HTC One coming in March, Windows version could be close

HTC might have been a little late in converting the HTC One M8 to a Windows Phone since Microsoft relaxed the platform’s hardware requirements, but the One M8 for Windows still managed to introduce new Windows Phone firsts, like the Snapdragon 801 processor, the Duo Lens Camera, dual-tone flash and the Dot View Case. HTC is now set to unveil a new One on March 1st.

We reported back in December that HTC has supposedly begun work on a new flagship Windows Phone that will also have an Android twin. The HTC One M9 (aka the HTC Hima) will reportedly come with a Snapdragon 810 processor, a 5” 1080p display, a 20.7MP rear camera paired with a 4MP shooter on the front, 3GB or RAM, a 2840mAh battery and up to 64GB of on-board storage.

HTC has teased a new HTC One on Twitter but hasn’t specified if the Windows version will be released at the same time. Even though recent leaks suggest that the Duo Lens Camera at the back will be dropped, the One M9 will still make Windows Phone fans happy with its sleek aluminum unibody design that HTC will likely carry over from the M8.

Mobile World Congress 2015 is just under 2 weeks away, and we’ll be covering what Microsoft and its Windows OEM partners have to unveil during the event, so keep it at WinBeta for the latest.
