Now that Microsoft has added extension support to the Edge browser on Windows 10 Insider machines, we’re seeing more developers releasing extensions for the newest browser on the block. Earlier today it was an extension aimed at making opening new tabs easier, and next up is an extension aimed at getting instant translations.

Produced by the Instant Translate team, the extension makes it easy to translate text between 104 languages. The team is relatively successful with their Chrome extension and macOS version, and now they’re happy to make it available on Edge.

Functionality includes:

  • Translation in a pop-up window from the browser’s toolbar
  • Translate selected text via tooltip on any page
  • Select text from a context menu
  • Translation history

The app isn’t in the Windows Store yet and thus requires sideloading. Let us know in the comments if you get the extension installed and what you think of it.
