Microsoft’s Gabe Aul on Twitter has today announced that the Redmond giant is planning to speed up the frequency of build drops. This is something which has been rumored to be coming for a couple days now, and it’s finally official as of today:

Aul says there will be an Insider Hub post later today explaining the details, and that he suggests those who do not want to receive builds at a faster pace to drop to the slow ring. Microsoft doesn’t appear to be preparing a new, ludicrous ring just yet, as instead they’re trying to speed up the fast ring.

No word just yet on how ‘fast’ this new frequency will be. Many are hoping they’ll be weekly, regardless of stability. When we know more, we’ll update this post accordingly. Stay tuned at WinBeta for more Windows 10 news as it happens.
