Lumia 930 now selling in South Africa through Vodafone carrier for R7999

The Lumia 930, which was earlier said to come to the South African market by the end of September, has arrived a bit earlier. The smartphone is now available for sale through Vodafone carrier under 2-year contract for R469, R589, and R699 per month with different plans.

The Lumia 930 is a high end premium smartphone with advanced hardware specifications. The phone sports a 5-inch AMOLED display with 1080p screen resolution. Powered by quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, coupled with 2 gigs of RAM, the 4G LTE capable phone has 32GB internal storage. The smartphones comes in two color variants: Black and White.

It comes with a mammoth 20MP shooter at the back and 1.2MP camera upfront. The phone comes with Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box, and is compatible with Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1.

If you’re living outside South Africa, and the phone hasn’t arrived in your nation just yet, you can take this piece of news as a hint that the device will soon be there. Last month when Microsoft delayed the Lumia 930’s launch in India, some people wondered if it had anything to do with the malfunctioning reports that we had heard earlier in the month.  Its launch in South Africa is evident that the company has fixed all the issues.
