Lumia Cyan update schedule leaked for Benelux region, roll out expected to start next month

Windows Phone 8.1

Windows Phone 8.1 saw the light of the day at Build 2014, and introduced some much needed features for the OS. As always, Nokia Cyan was the name given to it by the Finns, who also add a little bit of their own touch to it. While the product lifecycle of the OS to begin on June 24, @evleaks has posted an alleged rollout schedule for the Lumia Cyan update. However, this is for the Benelux region -- for those who don't know, it comprises of three countries: Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

As you all know Lumia 630, 635 and 930 run the latest OS pre-installed out of the box, but for other devices, the roll out is expected to begin by the end of July over-the-air. If the schedule is legit, the Lumia Cyan update will begin with the Lumia 925, 1020 and 1520. It makes sense since these are some of the high-end Lumia devices. The good thing is the update is expected to reach all Lumia devices by the end of August, at least in the Benelux region.

Before you get too excited, you should know that this schedule is for the open market variants of the mentioned devices, and not the ones tied to carriers. Obviously, the dates are not set in stone, so they may change as the time draws closer. As for the carrier-branded handsets, the update may take a little while after it lands on the open market versions.
