Internet Explorer

Microsoft is slated to release seven security updates today, for March’s Patch Tuesday, and these updates affect all versions Internet Explorer ranging from Internet Explorer 6 to Internet Explorer 10. These updates will be available at 1PM Eastern today.

Of the seven updates, four are rated critical (Microsoft’s highest rating) and three are rated important (second highest). One of the critical updates addresses all versions of Internet Explorer, on all Windows operating systems ranging from Windows XP to Windows 8. Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 8 and Windows RT will also see a critical update, but Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 7 (which was recently released) will not see a security update. These updates deal with Remote Code Execution as well as Elevation of Privilege. Microsoft’s Office 2010 will also see updates as part of Patch Tuesday. You can snag these updates beginning today at 1PM Eastern. If you have automatic updates enabled, you wont have to do a thing, however, these updates will require a restart.
