Microsoft Azure reportedly faces outage in Europe, goes back online

Azure, Microsoft’s cloud computing platform and infrastructure for building, deploying and managing applications and services was reportedly having an outage in Europe few hours ago. First reported by Neowin, users from several part of the globe, but mostly United Kingdom, tweeted about the outage at around 9AM ET.

Interestingly, however, neither  Microsoft Azure’s Status page nor any third-party services has acknowledged the outage. The service was reportedly down in France, Ukraine, and Denmark during the outage. People living in places including United States, India and elsewhere never reported any issue with the service.

Outages are never good for a company, as it harms its reputation, besides financial loses, obviously, and right now is not the best time for the Azure service to go down. Amazon just recently released its new C4 lineup, which as the company describes are the “largest … of any virtual machine size currently available in the public cloud.” Microsoft also recently introduces its new G series of Azure servers.
