Microsoft Band is now selling for up to double its retail price on eBay

The Microsoft Band went on sale on October 29th and sold out very quickly. Stock hasn’t been replenished yet, so if you heard the news late then you’ve missed the first batch. The software giant did give us a heads up by noting that the Band would see a limited release, cutting out third-party resellers and instead be available exclusively from the company’s online and retail stores.

This however didn’t stop people from buying the Band for the official price of $199 only to put it up for bidding on eBay, where prices have now risen to up to double the retail price. The cheapest price to buy one outright from the site is $325 at the time of writing.

Microsoft has yet to announce how many units of the Band were sold on the initial run, or when stocks are expected to return. So if you’re looking to get your hands on one before they go back on sale from Microsoft, this is likely your only option. The fitness band has been relatively well received in by the tech press, praised for its cross-platform compatibility and it barrage of sensors that make it the capable fitness tracker that it is.
