With Windows 8.1, which is set to roll out as a free update for Windows 8 users on October 17th, features the Bing apps suite pre-installed. In an official blog post today, Microsoft highlights these apps and welcomes two new apps into the suite.
"Bing apps bring the content that matters most to you in one gorgeous experience. These apps make the stuff you care about – news, finance, weather, sports, travel, food, health – visually vibrant, easy to use, and available at a glance when working side-by-side," Microsoft stated in an official blog post.

Windows 8.1, which now allows for larger live tiles, features these Bing apps right on the Start Screen. The two new apps, called Food & Drink and Health & Fitness are now included in the suite for Windows 8.1.
The Food & Drink app features hands-free cooking mode that allows you to move step by step through a recipe book without having to touch the device. All you have to do is wave your hands in front of your device's camera.
The Health & Fitness app features diet, health, and exercise trackers along with step-by-step instructions and videos for over 1000 exercises and 220 workouts. A perfect companion app for the gym nut.
"Whether you update your Windows 8 device or buy a device with Windows 8.1, I can’t wait for everyone to be able to try these new apps. You’ll be able to do this starting October 18th!" Microsoft added.
Bing News, Weather, Finance, and Sports apps are also available for Windows Phone 8. We imagine Microsoft will eventually have the entire Bing apps suite on Windows Phone 8 as well.
