Microsoft Magic-Window w/ 3D

A couple of days ago, a video was released with the Creators Update announcement that showed off the innovations of putting 3D at people’s fingertips.

The new announcement video follows the story of a young girl learning to cultivate at a young age to leading an urban farming reclamation initiative. But wait, we’ve heard about this before: the acting call for Microsoft’s top secret video we wrote about earlier this month. Well-known enthusiast WalkingCat had revealed on Twitter some of the scenes behind the video called Beihei Announcement Video.

During Microsoft’s New York event yesterday, all was revealed. With the use of Capture 3D app and the exciting Paint 3D that’s already available for Insiders, Microsoft is expecting to bring 3D capability across Office and even into reality.

Furthermore, towards the end of the video we see what is described in the script as a “large magic-windows type of device” that shows holographic augmented reality on the screen.

Walking Cat felt the need to point these out to us in another follow-up tweet.

The ‘magic-window’ doesn’t seem to be recognizable at this time of anything Microsoft has released so far. Perhaps we’ll be seeing more about it after the Windows 10 Creators Update is released in Spring 2017.
