If you happen to be a regular user of Microsoft Lync 2013 on your Windows Phone handset, you be happy to find out the application received an update, bumping it to version 5.3.1037.0. The update is not a big one, but it adds a few handy features to the application, including the ability to view shared PowerPoint presentation during a Lync meeting.
To refresh your memory, Microsoft Lync 2013 lets users communicate with their colleagues and co-workers, communicate with them, schedule meetings, and more. The application also allows users to view shared meeting content during a conference on your handset, initiate group chats with your co-workers, transfer calls, and several other handy features for working professionals.
“Lync 2013 for Windows Phone extends the power of Lync to your mobile device – including voice & video over wireless, rich presence, instant messaging, conferencing, and calling features from a single, easy-to-use interface,” according to the app description.
Along with the ability to view shared presentations, the update also lets users control Lync 2013 using your voice. For instance, if you want to play a voicemail in the application or join a meeting, all you have to do is speak and let the application handle the rest.
Simply head over to the Windows Phone Store and download Microsoft Lync 2013 for your handset. It’s available for free.
