Microsoft is offering quite a lot of promotions lately. Recently, the company was offering gaming fans up to $100 for trading in their PS3 or Xbox 360, which can be used to purchase a shiny new Xbox One. Now, the company has cooked up another promotion by offering users a credit of up to $250 when they trade-in their existing smartphone or tablet (as spotted by The Next Web). However, there's a catch as usual: you can only use the credit on select Microsoft retail stores across the U.S. and Canada.
It seems Microsoft is trying to promote its own tablets, especially the Surface 2 which was even mentioned in the offer details. The credit you'll receive depends on the condition of the device you're trading in, but there are some rules to follow to make sure you the device is eligible for the trade-in. The device must power on at the time of trade-in and should be in a working condition with original accessories. In addition, the limit is set to one device per trade-in.
If you're thinking about dumping your old smartphone or a tablet in favor of any Microsoft device, it's time to locate a Microsoft store near you and call them to see if they're offering this deal. The offer is valid until March 2nd, or while the supplies last and is only available in-store.
