Microsoft Partners pushed to get Microsoft to offer a partner-managed, cloud-based subscription service for enterprise users. At the Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC 2016) in July, Microsoft introduced the Windows 10 Enterprise E3 for the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program. The CSP program offers enterprise users the latest security, management, and control features available in Windows 10 Enterprise Edition without requiring enterprise users to enter into a long-term licensing agreement.

Earlier today, Microsoft announced the details of Windows 10 Enterprise E3, including information on Windows 10 Enterprise E5 program details that will come in October 2016:

“Starting today from $7 per user/per month, businesses of any size can purchase Windows 10 Enterprise E3 through the CSP program and take advantage of enterprise-grade security and management functionality. Windows 10 Enterprise E3 was designed for businesses that handle sensitive customer data (such as credit card or social security numbers), operate in regulated industries, or create and monetize intellectual property. These businesses need enterprise-grade security and management capabilities found in the Windows 10 Enterprise edition such as Device Guard, Credential Guard and Managed User Experience. Additionally, Windows 10 Enterprise E5, which includes all the features and functionality available in Windows 10 Enterprise E3 plus Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection and advanced IT administration management functionality will be available for CSPs to start selling October 1.”

The Windows 10 Anniversary Update allows enterprise customers to quickly and easily move their devices to a Windows 10 Enterprise edition with the Cloud Solution Provider program and an Azure Active Directory login. There is a large number of Microsoft Partners available in the CSP program, giving more options to customers using the Windows 10 Enterprise edition.

Microsoft launch partners, ALSO, Tech Data, and Synnex, will be offering the Windows 10 Enterprise E3 to enterprise customers starting today. For more program specifics, visit Microsoft’s Windows For Business website.
