Microsoft Rewards wants to help you celebrate Star Trek’s 50th anniversary

Popular science fiction franchise Star Trek is celebrating its 50th anniversary this month, and Microsoft is joining the party with a bonus Microsoft Rewards offer on Star Trek content on the Windows Store. Star Trek fans will be able to earn rewards points by purchasing or renting select content including Star Trek movies and TV series in the Windows 10 Store or on the web.

For those unfamiliar, Microsoft Rewards is the company’s new rewards program that currently allows US customers to earn points when searching with Bing, browsing the web with Microsoft Edge, and buying content on the Windows Store. Rewards points can then used to get free movies, apps, games and more.

Here is what you can win during the 50 years of Star Trek celebration:

  • 500 rewards points for selected movie rentals,
  • 3,000 rewards points for selected movie purchase and
  • 4,000 rewards points for the purchase of a complete TV season

Be aware that this limited-time offer is only available for customers in the US, and single TV episodes, games, and music are not eligible for bonus rewards points. If you’re a Star Trek fan, let us know in the comments if you’re looking forward to earning some cool bonus rewards points this month.
