Microsoft Sway gets 13 new languages, improved search in latest update

Jack Wilkinson

Microsoft has released an update for its Sway storytelling tool Sway, a Microsoft tool that helps in creating digital stories through a canvas layout in which you import images, videos, web content and text to create an interactive and immersive story. Sways can be shared with others online via a link, allowing them to quickly view your digital story and view the content all in one place.

As part of this latest update, the company has added support for 13 more languages, which include:

  • Hindi
  • Tamil
  • Cambodian
  • Thai
  • Hebrew
  • French Canadian

Support for these new languages will allow more people to make use of Sway in their native language, and not have to resort to a second language.

Along with new languages also comes a new method of finding content in your Sway whilst editing it: keyword searching. From today, you will be able to quickly search for keywords in your story and it will allow you to rotate through all of the found references, much like when using the Find (CTRL+f) feature in a web browser.
