The company purchased Skype back in 2011 for $8.5 billion. A lot of cash to fork over, so finding something to do with the new toy becomes paramount. We've seen it added to Windows and woven into Office 365 Home Premium. Now it is hitting the runway.
Today the software giant reveals its looking to hook up aspiring designers with the advice they need to launch a career. A series of two video calls plans to bring you face to face with people in the know. "Fashion journalist & television personality Louise Roe hosts both calls", according to today's announcement.
The first, titled "The Spark", "explores how professionals from different aspects of the industry established a successful career in fashion by following their creative passions. You can watch it now. Meanwhile, another called "Fashion and Technology" looks at how computers are altering the business models of the industry. The latter will appear on January 6th. Both are pre-recorded videos, so you won't be posing any questions of your own.
