"What might not be obvious at first glance are the significant under-the-hood changes we’ve made. Internet Explorer 10, for example, now shares more than a name with its counterpart on Windows 8: Both phone and PC versions are built on the same powerful engine and offer improved handling of key web technologies and standards, including new support for touch-enabled sites," Microsoft stated in an official blog post. IE10 for Windows Phone 8 now has integration with Xbox SmartGlass, which allows you to send the website you are looking at to your Xbox 360, via the Xbox option from Internet Explorer 10’s Share menu. If your handset supports NFC, IE10 can now share items by simply hitting the Tap+Send option. IE10 on Windows Phone 8 supports Data Sense, which helps you reduce your data consumption while browsing the internet. Microsoft estimates that users will be able to browse 45% more websites on the same data plan. There will also be a SmartScreen Filter to help keep users safe from malicious websites. As for the design, Microsoft has relocated the tabs and favorites buttons into the more menu and allowed more space for the address bar.
