Microsoft thanks Windows Insiders within Windows 10 source code

Microsoft has taken a new approach to Windows 10 feedback thanks to the Windows Insider Program. Microsoft recently revealed that more than 1.5 million registered users are participating in the Windows Insider Program (as of December 2014) and roughly 450,000 of those testers are considered “highly active” — meaning they are using the latest build of Windows 10 every day.

With so many participants looking to make Windows 10 awesome, how can Microsoft show appreciation? Microsoft is taking it to Twitter to thank those who have helped shape Windows 10 as part of the Insider Program. But the “thank you” is more than a simple set of words. In fact, Microsoft is tweeting a picture of a source code, with a comment in the code that thanks a select individual for helping fix or create a code change within the new operating system.

Our very own Zac Bowden recently received a shout out via Twitter, thanking him for his code changes. This is a great way to show appreciation to those who are working to make Windows 10 the best operating system to date. If you haven’t already done so, submit your feedback via the feedback app in Windows 10 or via the Windows 10 uservoice page.

Stay tuned for Wednesday, January 21st, for the big Windows 10 event — we will be there live!
